Call to Order and Announce a Ouorum is Present
With a quorum of the Board of Directors present, the Special Called Meeting of the Arts of Collin County
Commission, Inc. was called to order by Treasurer Sterling at 3:42 pm. on Thursday. October 12, 2006, at
Red's Patio Grill, Plano, Texas.
Regular Agenda
Administer Oath of Office and Present Certificates of Appointment to Dr. Betty Bell
Mora and Mr. Steve Matthews.
The Oath of Office was administered to Dr. Betty Bell Muns and Mr. Steve Matthews by Shelley
George — City of Allen, Crry Secretary at 3:43pm.
2. Election of Arts of Collin County Board of Directors Officers for term October 2006
through September 2007.
Treasurer Sterling opened the floor for nominations for the office of President.
Secretary Bametta nominated Mr. Steve Matthews.
With no more nominations, Treasurer Sterling closed the floor for nominations for the
office of President.
The Board of Directors voted three (3) for, none (0) opposed, and one (1) abstention (with
Mr. Matthews abstaining from the vote) to accept Mr. Matthews as President of the Board.
Treasurer Sterling opened the floor for nominations for the office of Vice -President
President Matthews nominated Mr. Maher M. Maso for the office of Vice-president.
With no more nominations, Treasurer Sterling closed the floor for nominations for the
office of Vice -President.
The Board of Directors voted four (4) for, none (0) opposed, and no (0) abstentions to accept
Mr. Maso as Vice -President of the Board.

Treasurer Sterling opened the Boor for nominations for the office of Treasurer.
Director Mons nominated Mr. Nick Barretta for the office of Treasurer.
With no more nominations, Treasurer Sterling closed the Boor for nominations for the
office of Treasurer.
The Board of Directors voted three (3) for, none (0) opposed, and one (1) abstention (with
Mr. Barretts, abstaining from the vote) to accept Mr. Barretta as Treasurer of the Board.
Treasurer Sterling opened the Boor for nominations for the office of Secretary.
President Matthews nominated Mr. David Sterling for the office of Secretary.
With no more nommations, Treasurer Sterling closed the floor for nominations for the
office of Secretary.
The Board of Directors voted three (3) for, none (0) opposed, and one (1) abstention (with
Mr Sterling abstaining from the vote) to accept Mr. Sterling as Secretary of the Board.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Treasurer Barretta and a second by Director Mans, the Board of
Directors voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Special Called Meeting of
the Arts of Collin County Commission, Inc. at 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2006.
The motion carried.
