Call to Order and Announce a Ouomm is Present
With a quorum of the Board of Directors present, the Special Called hleetmg of the Arts of Collin County
Commission, Inc. was called to order by President Matthews at 4:02 p.m. on Thursdav, June 19, 2008, in
the Council Conference Room at Allen Cim Hall, 305 Cemmry Parkway, Nllen, Texas.
1. General Discussion
Jack Lagos, 3130 Oxford Court, Plano, Texas, addressed issues regarding ACCC.
Sonja Hammar, Plano, Texas addressed issues regarding ACCC.
MOTION: l"pon a motion made bi Director Nies and a second by Treasurer Barretta, the Board of
Directors voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to approve and adopt the items on
the Consent agenda as follows:
2. Approve Minutes from April 10, 2008 Special Called Meeting and May 15, 2008 Special
Called Strategic Planning Session.
3. Receive Financial Reports for the Periods Ended April 30 and May 31, 2008.

4. Adopt a Resolution recognizing former Frisco Mayor Mike Simpson for his
contributions to the project. (Steve Matthews, President).
RESOLUTION NO. 39-6-08: A RESOLUTION OF THE .ARTS OF COLLIN COUNTY
COMMISSION, INC. RECOGNIZING MAYOR MIKE SIMPSON FOR OUTSTANDING
SERVICE AND CONEMITMENT TO THE ARTS OF COLLIN COUNTY
MOTION: Upon a motion made be Secretary Nluns and a second by Director Nies, the Board of
Directors voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to approve adopt Resolution 39-6-08 as
previously captioned recognizing Slavor Nlike Simpson. The motion carried.
5. Accept letter of resignation from Vice President Maher Maso and direct the President to
request that the Owner Cities appoint a new at -large representative. (Steve Matthews,
President)
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Secretary Stuns and a second bv'1'reasmer Barretta, the Board of
Directors voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to accept the resignation of Vice
President Maso and direct President Matthews to request the Owner Cities appoint a new
at -large representative. The motion carried.
6. Adopt a Resolution approving the FY 2008-09 Annual Operating Budget and
recommending approval to the Owner and Member Cities. (Mary Vail Gmbe,
Administrative Director)
RESOLUTION NO. 40-6-08: A RESOLUTION OF "I'HE .ARTS OF COLLIN COUNTY
COMMISSION, INC APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 3008-09 OPERATING BUDGET FOR
THE ARTS OF COLLIN COUNTY; RECONINIF:NDING ITS .APPROVAL. BY THE OWNER
CITIES; PROVIDING :\ SFVEItABILI'I"Y CLAUSE; 1ND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Secretary Stuns and a second by Treasurer Barretta, the Board of
Directors voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to approve adopt Resolution 40-6-08 as
previously captioned approving the fiscal year 2008-09 operating budget and
recommending its approval to the Owner Cines. The motion carried.
7. Approve job description and discuss recruitment of new Executive Director. (Nick
Barretta, Treasurer)
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Treasurer Barretta and a second by Secretary Nfuns, the Board of
Directors voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to approve the Lob description for
recruitment of a new Executive Director. The motion earned.
MOTION: l poll a motion made by Secretary Mans, and a second by Director Nies, the Board of
Directors voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the
Arts of Collin County Commission, Inc. at 4 22 p no on'I'hursday. June 19, 2008.
