Call to Order and Announce a Ouomm is Present
With a quorum of the Board of Directors present, the Special Called Meeting of the Arts of Collin County
Commission, Inc. was called to order by President Matthews at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008,
in the Council Conference Room at Allen City- Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas.
The Regular Session recessed at 4.02 p.m.
In accordance with the Texas Government Code, the Arts of Collin County Commission convened into
Executive Session at 4:02 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008, in the Council Conference Room at
Allen City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas, for the purpose of consulting with legal counsel
regarding matters covered by Texas Govemment Code Section 551.071(1) — (2) and Texas Government
Code Section 551 074 — deliberation regarding personnel:
Personnel — Pursuant to Section 551.074 — Executive Director Selection
The Executive Session adjourned at 4:11 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008.
Reconvene and Consider Action on Items Discussed during Executive Session.
The Board of Directors reconvened into regular session at 4:11 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008,
in the Council Chambers of the Allen City Hall No action was taken on items discussed during
Executive Session.

2. Vote on the selection of the Executive Director of the Arts of Collin County Commission.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Treasurer Barretta and a second by Secretary Mons, the Board of
Duectors voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to appoint Mike Simpson as the
Executive Director of the Arts of Coffin County Commission, Inc.
The motion carried.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Secretary Muns, and a second by Treasurer Barretts, the Board
of Directors voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Special Called
Meeting of the Arts of Collin County Commission, Inc. at 4:15 p.m. on Monday,
November 24, 2008.
The motion carried.
