J. siloe 1�2r. Elmo Candy, ym. Ralpl: Dickson,and ''s. C. J. Thite were present to discuss tax valuation on t'zeir property. PSL^. Gandy asl,ed that t!e Board be lenient when raising Lis tax valuation. Mr. P,alph Dickson asked the Board yembers to consider the valuation of his neighbors property before raising his tax valuation and to keep them all in line accordingly. Ps. C. J. ,Vhite did not receive a lette, stating that his valuation wrn:ld be raised. The Poard ]Members assured him teat his tax value would not be raised in 1964 since he had come in prior to tt:is meetin; and voluntarily raised Lis valuation after remodeling his house. T: -o :Equalization Board Flembers informed Mr. Dickson and '•ir. Gandv that thay wo id consider the discussion and notify them of the Board's decision. Mr. lhi.te, yr. Gandy and Mr. Dickson then left. C. E. Ottaway came in at this time. The Equalization Board agreed to set valuation on I='s. Gandy's property at ;K500, and yr. Dickson1s property at WOO. The City-ecretary was instructed to notify Mr. Gandy and 711r.Dickson by letter, informinP them of the valuation approved by the Eq alization Board for 1961}.
