Present: Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Aldermen- R. B. Whisenant, C . E. Ottaway,
Jimmy Gantt and B. J. Enloe.
Absent: Alderman-Phil Pringle,
Motion made by C. E. Ottaway that we bore under Farm to Market Road
2170 at Ave. A A with a 6" water line and tap main line. Also buy
enough 6" pipe to get it at the most reasonable price.(A truck load) .
Seconded by R. B. Whisenant, Motion Passed--Ayes 4, Noes none.
Motion by Mayor Gentry T. Jones that we run the water line to the
Clinic and Pharmacy property line with total cost to the City of
Allen. Seconded by R. B. Whisehant . Motion Passed -Ayes 4, Noes None.
Mr. Herod was asked to bring Pro-Rata Ordinance of the City of
Richardson to the next meeting. Also to give specks on the six inch
water line to be run from East First St. North on East Ave. AA North.
Mayor Jones read letter in regard to the Fire Truck.
Discussion with the Street Committee about fixing streets.
Motion by C . E. Ottaway that we have the City Engineer give the
council an estimate survey on South 2nd from Hi-way 2170 East to
East Ave. C, Also East Ave. C . from East First St. to South 3rd
Street East from East First Street to East 2nd (1 block in front of
Baptist Church) . Seconded by B. J. Enloe. Motion Passed-Ayes 4,
Noes none.
Mr. Herod, city engineer, was instructed to check with the State
Highway Department about fixing the highway through the City of
Allen. Also how much of the cost the City will have to stand and
howwmuch the State will do etc.
Motion by B. J. Enloe to pay bills. Seconded by Jimmy Gantt,
Motion Passed--Ayes 4, Noes none.
