Meeting Minutes, Wednesday August 24, 2005
® The meeting was held at the Allen Police Training Room and convened at 7.03 p.m. Present at the
meeting were members Lon Braselton, Joey Allette, Dr. Mike Overton, Vikkt Francis. Bill Ameser
was absent.
Chairperson, Lon Braselton, called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.
Approval of the Minutes from June & 2005
The minutes were approved by unanimous consent.
Citizens Comments
No citizens were present at the meeting.
Discussion of Grants and Spay/Neuter Proaram
Lon Braselton will contact the veterinarians in person to discuss the voucher use for adopted dogs and
cats from the Animal Shelter. The veterinarians will be paid $50 per animal regardless of species, sex
and size. The voucher will have the adopter's name, description of the animal and an identification
number on it. The veterinarian's office will need to keep a long of name and type of animal and
invoice (bill) the city at the end of every month. They can also keep all the vouchers and tum them to
to the Animal Shelter. The voucher will be for spay/neuter only and any other things done (blood
work, vaccinations, declawing, etc.) will be done at the new owners expense. An information sheet
wdl be given to the adopter and it will also be explained verbally
The veterinarian can pick a specific day (Thursdays only), weight limit, specie type and other
restrictions they would like. This will be put on the veterinarian list we pass out to the adopter's.
The Animal Shelter will also be able to bring animals to the veterinarians and the same cost and will
pay the $50 fee.

The next meeting was set for November 9, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Police Training Room. Lon
Braselton adjourns the meeting at 7:53 p.m.
