Meeting Minutes- Wednesday, November 2, 2011
The meeting was held at the Allen Animal Shelter and convened at 7:01 p.m. Present at the meeting
were members Dr Alan Coffman. Joey Allette. Dawn Blue, Justin Schiffner and Vikki Francis.
Vice Chairperson. Dawn Blue, called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
Approval of the Minutes from July 29, 2010
The minutes were approved by unanimous consent.
Council Liaison
None were present from the meeting.
Introduction of New Committee Member
Justin Schiffner introduced himself and gave background to the committee members. The committee
members introduce themselves to him with background information and welcomed him to the
committee.
Election of Officers
Chairperson- Joe) Allette nominated Dawn Blue for chairperson and committee members voted
unanimously for Dawn Blue to Chair the committee.
Vice Chairperson- Vikki Francis nominated Justin Schiffner for vice -chairperson and committee
members voted unanimously for Justin to be Vice Chair.
Secretary- Due to ordinance requiring Animal Control Supervisor to be the Secretary-Vikki Francis
remains in that position.
Discussion
Vikki Francis advised Dawn Blue as the Chair for the committee she would be doing the annual
presentation to the City Council on December 13, 2011 Vikki Francis would do the Power Point
presentation and get a copy to her before the council meeting.
Vikki Francis advised the committee that the Citv Board Banquet would be held December 9, 2011 at
the Hilton Gardens.
Items of Interest
Questions were asked for the needs of the shelter and Vikki Francis advised the following:
Equipment for the Spa} Neuter room, Heartworm testing, Feline Leukemia testing. She would get
equipment information/costs to the committee in the next few days.
Next Meetine/Adiourn
The next meeting was set for January 25, 2012 at 7.00 p.m. at the Allen Animal Shelter. Lon Braselton
