CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS
January 21, 1965
Present : Mayor Gentry T. Jones.
Aldermen-- Phil Pringle, B. J. Enloe and Jimmy Gantt.
Absent : Aldermen--C.E. Ottaway and B. B. Whisenant,
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved .
Mr. A. W. Cline, representing Water Tank Service Co,
was present to discuss the re-painting of the water tank. and
tower. Motion by Phil Pringle to accept the contract presented
by Mr. Cline in the amount of $1450. to paint tank and tower.
Work to be done in the next three or four months.
Seconded by Jimmy Gantt. Motion passed--Ayes 3, Noes 0.
Motion by Jimmy Gantt to pay bills presented to the
City Council by City Secretary. Seconded by B. J. Enloe.
Motion passed--Ayes 3, Noes 0,
Mr. Webb of Shell Oil Co. was present to discuss with
the council the possibility of getting water and sewer to the
future site of the new Shell Service Station which will be located
at Farm Road 2170 and Highway #75.
Mayor Jones stated that the city will bring water to the property
line of the Shell Oil Co. and they (Shell Oil Co. ) can take it from
there.
Motion by B. J. Enloe that we provide water to Shell Oil Co.
property with an 8" water line. Seconded by Phil Pringle.
Motion passed--Ayes 3, Noes 0.
Motion to adjorn meeting by B. J. Enloe.
