REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF ALLEN
ALLEN, TEXAS
Present: Mayor Gentry T. Jones - Alderman C.E. Ottaway,
Phil Pringle, B.J. Enloe and Jimmy Gantt.
Absent: R.B. Whisenant
Motion by C.E. Ottaway to pay bills presented to council by
City Secretary. Seconded by Jimmy Gantt. Motion passed-Ayes 4,
Noes none.
Ed Lynge was present with street dedication for West Ave. B.
North thru Lot 10 of Block B in Old Donation.
Motion by C.E. Ottaway to except the street dedication and
to give the Mayor authority to sign the Dedication Deed
Seconded by Phil Pringle. Motion passed Ayes-4, Noes none.
Mr. C.E. Ottaway reported on street paving recommendations
furnished by Herod and Skiles.
C.E. Ottaway made motion that the engineers give us an
estimate on replacement on our water lines where it is necessary
along the street where we are planning to pave. Seconded by
Jimmy Gantt. Motion passed Ayes-4, Noes none.
Motion by C.E. Ottaway that the engineers request bids on
Five inch Asphalt and 6inch concrete. Seconded by J.J. Enloe.
Motion Passed--Ayes 4, noes none.
Bill Spurgin was present to discuss the garbage business.
Motion by Phil Pringe to authorize the Mayor to have the
CIty Attorney notify Mr. J.M. Clay to move his fence out of
the alley. Seconded by Jimmy Gantt. Motion Passed Ayes 4,
noes none.
