Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitor's
Bureau Advisory Board was called to order by Chair Doss at 8:06 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in the
City Council Conference Room, Allen City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas 75013.
1. Approve Minutes of the November 19, 2013, Regular Meeting.
2. Approve Minutes of the March 5, 2014, Special Called Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Brooks and a second by Vice Chair Wilson, the
Board voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to approve the minutes of November 19,
2013, Regular Meeting, and March 5, 2014, Special Called Meeting, as presented. The
motion carried.
3. Presentation on the Strategies for Establishing Event Funding in Support of Economic Impact.
Ms. Cromwell provided information on the strategies for establishing event funding in support of
economic impact.
4. Discussion of Board Evaluation to Provide Feedback to the Council Nominating Committee.
The Board discussed the Board Evaluation Form to provide feedback to the Council Nominating
Committee.
Adjournment
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Secretary Polk and a second by Vice Chair Wilson, the Board voted
four (4) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention
and Visitor's Bureau Advisory Board at 9 15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. The motion
cartied.
