Present : Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Alderman Ken Posey, Dan Strong, Jimmy Gantt and
Bill Enloe.
Absent : Alderman B. B. Whisenant,
Bills were presented to the City Council for their approval.
Bids on 8" water line to Shell Oil Company property were checked.
Bids from Ollie Thurman and Robert L. Sutton were read.
Motion to table bids for now. Seconded by Bill Enloe. Motion
passed Ayes 3, 1 regret (Ken Posey).
Council discussed the incorrect size of curb placed in Whisenant
Estates #5 on W. Ave. D North. Suggestion by Mayor Jones to deduct
the cost of this error from the engineers pay.
John Enloe was present to ask the Council to have something done about
the broken sewer line in the creek in Whisenant Estates which is
running through his property. The Engineer for Whisenant Estates
has been notified to fix this sewer line immediatley.
