SPECIAL CALLED MEETING

I. A special called meeting of the Allen Library Board was called to order at
7:35 pm by Board Chair, Fritz Dietrich. Members present were Eric Liepins,
Carl Williams, Donna Vanous and Julie Wilmoth.
IL The June 13 Public Hearing on the Joint City/School Library Project was
discussed. The turnout was large and the support at the meeting was
overwhelming for maintaining the current library where it stands. Donna
Vanous reported that the Friends of the Allen Public Library had sent a mailing
to all registered voters with information on the proposed project.
M. The lune 24 Public Hearing - Fritz Dietrich reminded the board members of the
upcoming public hearing and encouraged all to attend, if possible. It was
suggested that board member Sharon Curtis be contacted to update her on the
proposed library project.
IV. There will not be a July Library Board meeting unless one needs to be
scheduled.
V. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm.
