CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS
November 18th 1965
Present : Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Aldermen : Jimmy Gantt, Dan Strong, R.B. Whisenant
and Ken Posey.
Aldermen absent : Bill Enloe.
Mr. Herod our city Engineer and Mr. Bob Rains was also
present.
Minutes read and approved with some corrections on the wording in
the appointment of the director.
Bills were read and a motion was made by R.B. Whisenant
that they be paid, Second by Jimmy Gantt. Motion passed Ayes 4-noes 0.
Mr Herod our Engineer is to check the drainage on Keith
Drive at the creek clost to the Steed property. Mr Herod states
some-one should check the Sewer line going to the new car wash at the
time the work is being done.
Mr Bob Rains with the Eagle Products Company Inc . was
present to discuss a chemical treatment for the Sewer Plant.
Motion: By Dan Strong to buy 100 lbs. of NU LIFE priced at $ 3.75
per LB. Sec by Ken Posey, motion passed Ayes 4 noes 0.
Discussion; about covering the floor of the City Hall.
Motion by Dan Strong that we cover the floor of the City and also
the two tables in the Hall, second by Ken Posey, motion passed
ayes 4 - noes 0 .
Motion by Ken Posey that the City pay for the ROCK on
South 2nd Street West in front of Mr. Harts and Mr. Burnsidas
place, second by R.B. Whisenant--motion passed ayes 4-noes 0.
