R.B. Whisenant.
ABSENT: Billy Joe Enloe
Minutes from last meetings read and approved
The City Planning and Zoning Commission was signed by the Mayor
and Councilmen.
Motion by Jimmy Gantt we pass an ordinance establishing minimum
and housing standards; providing for an enforcing official;
creating a board of housing appeals; providing for the inspection
of dwellings and premises; and for other purposes.
SECOND by Dan Strong, motion passed, ayes 4, noes 0.
Motion by Ken Posey that we write Mr. B.J. Alford, Signal Engineer,
St. Louis & Southwestern Rail Road of Tyler, Texas for information
regarding signal lights at Avenue AA and First Streets.
SECOND, by Dan Strong, passed, ayes 4, noes 0.
Motion by Jimmy Gantt to pay Uvalde Const. CO. the balance due,
$4,638.15 less $120.00 for fixing two water valves, as recomended
by City Engineer.
Second, by Dan Strong, passed, ayes 4, noes 0.
Motion by Jimmy Gantt we pass an ordinance, providing for fire
limits and regulations governing the construction, alteration,
removal, demolotion, equipemtn, use and occupancy, location and
maintenance of building and structures, on the advice of Mr. Perry.
Second, by Ken Posey, passed, ayes 4, noes 0.
Meeting adjorned by Mayor G.T. Jones.
These minutes read and approved this the 16 day of Dec. 1965.
These ordinances was passed to coinside with the National Building
code.
