REGULAR MEETING
January 5, 1967
Present : Gentry T.Jones, Mayor
Aldermen, Bill Enloe, Ken Posey, R. B. Whisenant,
Dan Strong, & Zack Robinson
Eng. Walter F. Hicks & Mr. Herod
Minutes from the last meeting was read and approved .
Mr. Hicks brought the council up to date on the progress of the
sewer project. Mr. Hicks suggested that he himself would probably
be the person to contact the people along the sewer survey route .
Mr. Herod has part of the field notes ready for Mr. Orr, City
Attorney, to prepare the easements .
Motion : by Dan Strong to combine the two bank accounts, City
of Allen General Obligation Sewer Fund and City of
Allen Sewer Revenue Bond, to City of Allen Sewer
Construction Fund .
Second : by R. B.Whisenant, motion passed, ayes 5, noes 0 .
Mayor Jones and Mr. Hicks is to contact Mr. Drum, Plano city
Manager,regarding easements for the sewer line in the Plano
City limits. (Mr. Hicks recommendations for easment is a
30 Ft . permanant and 30 Ft. temporary, making
a total of 60 feet. )
Copies of Pool Hall Ordinance is to be mailed out to those
who wish a copy.
Mr. Jones is to contact Mr. Orr about the fire works ordinance
and the Dog ordinance .
Motion : By Dan Strong to pay bills presented by the City
Secretary.
Second : By R. B. Whisenant, motion passed, ayes 5 noes 0.
Mayor Jones discussed with the council that he asked Aaron
Sandidge, Policeman to resign, because the Citys budget could
not cover the cost.
Motion : By Dan Strong to pay each policeman $214.00 per month.
Second : By Ken Posey, Ayes 4, noes 0. one abstain (ZR)
