Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitor's
Bureau Advisory Board was called to order by Chair Simpson at 8:03 a.m. on Wednesday,May 8, 2019,in the
City Council Conference Room located in City Hall, 305 Century Parkway,Allen,Texas 75013.
1. Approve Minutes of the November 14,2018,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Doss and a second by Vice-Chair Arnold, the Board
voted four(4)for and none(0)opposed to approve the minutes of November 14,2018,Regular
Meeting. The motion carried.
2. Approve Minutes of the February 13,2019,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Doss and a second by Vice-Chair Arnold, the Board
voted four(4)for and none(0)opposed to approve the minutes of November 14,2018,Regular
Meeting. The motion carried.
3. Discuss Board Evaluations.
Chair Simpson reviewed the board evaluation questions with the Board members.
4. Update on Allen Hotel Market.
Ms. Cromwell provided an update on the hotel market in Allen.
5. Update on Regional Hotel Market.
Ms. Cromwell provided an update on the regional hotel market.
6. Update on Sales Initiatives.
Ms. Cromwell provided an update on the CVB's sales initiatives.
Adjournment
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Doss and a second by Vice-Chair Arnold, the Board
111 voted four(4)for and none(0)opposed to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention
and Visitor's Bureau Advisory Board at 8:59 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. The motion
carried.
