Bids were opened on fixing East Avenue AA, were opened by our
Engineer Mr. Hicks, which were as follows :

Motion : by Bill Enloe that we except the low bid of Joe Williams
and Sons .
Second : by R. B. Whisenant, motion passed, ayes 5, noes 0.
(it is understood that Mr. Williams is to furnish the
Liability Insurance.) Mr. Hicks is to get a man to
inspect the street work and write the work order for the
job.
Mr. Hicks had a letter from Mr. J. D. Buckhanan which states we
cannot buy the Methodist Property with the bond money, this prop-
erty was to be used for a city hall.
Mr. Hicks states the sewer line easements must be got by April 1,1967.
Mayor Jones was to write letter to Congressman Ray Roberts .
Motion by Dan Strong to pay bills presented by secretary.
Second : by R. B. Whisenant, motion passed, ayes 5, noes 0.
Meeting was adjourned bv Mayor Jones .
