Present : Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Aldermen R.B. Whisenant, J.D. Smith; LeRoy Ewen, Zack
Robinson and Mack Holloway.
Engineer- Pat D. DePamphilis from Wisenbaker Fix & Associates.
Visoters - Mr & Mrs Starr and Earl Young.
Mr. Young was here in regard to getting a Permite to fence the property
where Mrs Jimmy Starr operates a Kindergarden on South 3rd St . East.
Mayor Jones read and discussed Ordinance # 36 on fenceing. Mayor Jones
also appointed two Council members , J.D. Smith and LeRoy Ewen to take
a look at this fenceing problem and report to the Council, Mr young to
be notified of the Council' s desision.
Mr. DePamphilis discussed the RESOLUTION,on Contract # 845 and
846 to be awarded to the lowest bidder, STIMSON CONTRACTING CO. ,Dallas,Texas.
RESOLUTION
Resolution awarding construction contract for sewerage system improvement .
WHEREAS the City fo Allen, Texas has duly and legally advertised for•
construction contract bids for sewerage system improvements, and
WHEREAS the sealed bids so advertised for have been received, duly
opened, read aloud, and considered .
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the construction of
sewerage systela improvements, Contract No. 845, be awarded to the lowest
bidder, Stimson Contracting Co., Dallas , Texas. for a total Contract price
of 5299,890.50, and for supplying sewer pumps, contract No. 846, be awarded
to the lowest bidder, SOUTHERN ENGINE & PUMP COMPANY, DALLAS, TEXAS, FOR
a total contract price of 58,972.00. Since the City of Allen, Texashas acc-
epted an offer of a federal grant for aid in this project under Public Law
660, that it is resolved that this award of contract is conditional upon
the approval of the award by the Texas State Department of Health and the
Federal Water Pollution Control Administration.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor, Gentry T. Jones, be and is hereby
authorized to execute the construction contracts for this project in the
name of the City of Allen, Texas upon receiving approval Of the contract
awards from the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration.

CITY SECRETARY'S CERTIFICATE
The undersigned duly qualified City Secretary of the City of Allen,
Texas does hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and
correct copy of the resolution as adopted in a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Allen, Texas on June 1 1967; and further that such
resolution has been fully recorded in the Minute Book of the City Council.

Motion : by Zack Robinson that the Council hereby authorizd
Gentry T. Jones "Mayor" too sign the above Resolution
form on said contract # 845 and # 8 .6. Motion second
by LeRoy Ewen, this motion passed ayes 5 noes 0.
Discussion ; on getting EASEMENTS for sewer system improvements
Motion by Zack Robinson, that Mayor Jones , contacts the following
persons in regard too securing said Easements, Mr.
Bailey Whisenant, McKinney, B.B. Carpenter, Plano,
and Mrs Manisfield, Plano. This motion second by
J.D, Smith. Motion passed ayes 5 noes 0
Miscellaneous :
Order two loads crushed rock.
Literature, on fire prevention, check with Mr. Rountree.
Police, wants two RED LIGHTS for top of cars.
