A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY,TEXAS,AMENDING THE CITY OF ALLEN FEE SCHEDULE RELATING
TO WATER SERVICE CHARGES BY AMENDING THE INITIAL DEPOSIT FOR
WATER SERVICE, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR DISCONNECTION AND
REESTABLISHMENT OF SERVICE, AND ELIMINATING CERTAIN OBSOLETE
FEES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A REPEALING
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,having reviewed the City's cost of providing water services to the City's water customers and certain
services related to providing such service,as well as reviewing the amount of delinquent account write-offs,City
Administration has recommended certain revisions to the fees and deposits collected for providing water service
be adopted; and,
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Allen,Texas,having considered and discussed the recommendation
of the City Administration,fords it to be in the public interest to adopt the recommended fee and deposit changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY,TEXAS,THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Allen Fee Schedule titled"Water Service Charges"is renamed"Disconnection Fees"
is hereby amended by amending,adopting,and deleting the following fees and charges:
A. The initial deposit for establishment of a water service account as authorized by Section 14-1(a) of the
Code of Ordinances,City of Allen,Texas,is amended to be One Hundred and No/100 Dollars($100.00).
B. The disconnection fee authorized by Section 14-8(a)of the Code of Ordinances City of Allen,Texas, is
hereby established as Forty and No/100 Dollars($40.00).
C. Additional refundable account deposit authorized by Section 14-8(b)of the Code of Ordinances City of
Allen,Texas,is hereby established as Fifty and No/100 Dollars($50.00).
D. The water service reconnection fees for "On-Duty reconnection of terminated water service" and
"After-Hours reconnection of terminated water service" are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Should any word, sentence,paragraph, subdivision,clause,phrase or section of this Resolution,
be adjudged or held to be void or unconstitutional,the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of said Resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 3. All prior Resolutions that established the fees for sewer and water of the City of Allen, Collin
County,Texas, in conflict with the provisions of this Resolution,and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect on January 1,2020,and it is accordingly so resolved.
