JONES, MAYOR 8-8-67 This meeting has been called for purpose of approving two (2) points of interest, Pursuant to the sale of a piece or property located in the City of Allen to-wit; SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, more fully described as follows-, BEING Off of the East ends of lots I and 2, Block no one, as shown by the plat of the J.M. Whiseant Addition to the town of Allen, Texas, Collin County, as recorded in Book One, Page 52, Collin County Deed Records, BEGINNING 100 feet East of the SW corner of said Block No One in THENCE EAST 183.9 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot No 1, Block No, 1; THENCE NORTH, along the East line, of said Lots No, 1 and 2, 234 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot No, 2; THENCE WEST, along North line of Lot No. 2, 18349 feet; THENCE SOUTH, across Lots No, 2 and I of said Block No, One, to the South line of Lot No. 1, to the place of beginning* BEING a piece of land off East ends of Lots 1 and 2, 183.9 feet by 234 feet. LESS HOWEVER, a strip of land along and adjacent to the center line of Farm to Market Highway No, 2170, as shown sold oft by W. E.Ford et al, Trusteess, Methodist Episcopal Church, South as shown of record in Vol. 517, Pages 444-445, Collin County Deed Records, Said strip of land Contains 0.300 acres, MOre or less. Sale is based on the following conditions; 1. Said property is subject to no use restriction, and the title policy will so state. 2. Zoning, if any, will not prohibit use of property by Volunteer Fire Department or other social group. Motion by: R.B. Whiseant Second by: Mack Halloway that the City of Allen accept they conditions as set forth in the purchase contract agreement, botween the Board of Trustees of Allen Methodist Church and the McDermott Foundation, being part 1 and 2 -as set forth in the purchase contract agreemont. Mayor Jones pointed out to the councilmen that he had contacted Mr. Alex Orr on zoning and found zoning ordinance in effect for that piece of property would not have to be changed to qualify for recreation center, fire station, or City businesses.
