Present : Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Aldermen Mack Holloway, S.D. Smith and LeRoy Ewen.
Absen : R.B. Whisenant.
Visitors : Bill Enloe, James Marion and Ed 0. Lynge, a committee
from the Lions Club was here to discuss the Traffic problem at the
Elementary School, this committee submited a drawing for one-way
traffic duering school hours. They will make futher report later.
Discussions : about the tile for the bridge on east ave. C north.
: survey on the 10 acres for the well sight .
on truck that Mayor Jones has for sale, for $p 600.00.
about Street signs that had been changed on East Ave.
C and Ellis streets.
Bids : Were opened by Mayor Jones for a new car for the Police
department, which were as follows ;
Cox Chevrolet Company $ 2,00.76
J.D. Goodman Jr. 2,239.55

Motion by LeRoy Ewen that we shelf our bids on the cars until we
have time to check into our financial condiation, or have finshed
with some of the projects now in progress.
Motion was second by J.D. Smith. Motion passed ayes 3 noes G.
Motion : By mock Holloway to pay bills presented by the City Secy.
Motion was second by LeRoy Ewen. Motion passed ayes 3 noes 0.
Discussion with our Police-men, such as, Mr Martin had some
questions like ; he wants to know how long he will have a job ?
is the Council trying to hire a nite-man?
and will the Council furnish uniforms & ect.
for he and Sandidge.
Mr Pherigo wanted to know if what he does is 0 K and if it is
going too stand-up, such as placing Street Signs.
