Min - City Council - 1968 - 02/01 - RegularREGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL CITY OF ALLEN ALLEN, TEXAS. FEBRUARY 1st 1968 Present : Mayor Gentry T. Jones Aldermen : LeRoy Ewen, Mack Holloway and Robert Lowman. Absent : Alderman J.D. Smith. Mr. Drumb, City manager for Plano and Walter Hicks our City Engineer was also present. Mayor Jones states "that the Sewer Easement had been obtained from Dr. Dutton and Mrs Carpenter" , also an Ordinance of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, regulating the disposal of sewage and the use of public sewers, establishing the admissibility of waste to sanitary sewers, establishing procedures for acceptance and treatment of industrial wastes, providing penalties for violations, providing a saving clause, and repealing all Ordinances in conflict herewith. This is Ordinance # 76 for the City of Allen. Motion : By Robert Lowman that said ordinance be excepted and drawn up in proper form. Motion second by Mack Holloway. Motion passed ayes (3) three / noes (0) none Mr. Drumb from Plano, displayed a MAP which showed the INCORRPORATED ERA for the Town of PARKER, which included part of the City of Plano and the City of Allen. Motion : By LeRoy Ewen that we, the City of Allen join with Plano in a Cival Suit against the New Estaglished Incorporation of PARKER, due to The fact that the newly established incorporated limits of PARKER extends into the present City Limits of the City of Allen Texas . Motion sec. by Robert Lowman. Motion passed ayes (3) three. noes (0) nOne Motion by LeRoy Ewen to pay bills, sec. by Mack Holloway. Motion passed ayes (3) three - noes (0) none. Mr. George W. Martin asked the Council to reinstate Mr. Sasdidge on the Police force for full-time or at least (2) two nights per week, or Mr. Martin offers his resignation as of to-day. The Council and the Police discussed the duties and problems of the City Council and the Police in handling the different problems that we have to come up from time to time, Mr Lowman recomended that we at least have (2)two men on week-ends for three months on trial bases . After more discussion a MOTION was made by Mr. Lowman, that we reinstate Mr. Aaron Sandidge on our police force like he was before and allowing our police to do their job for a peroid of (3) three months . Motion second by Mack Holloway. Motion passed ayes (3) three noes (0) none. Mr. Hicks showed a preliminary map of roads of Streets for future improvement for the City of Allen . Motion. By LeRoy Ewen that we order at least 12 more STOP SIGNS and POST also any other signs we might need. Motion second by Mr. Lowman. Motion passed ayes (3) three - noes (0) none.
