ALLEN, TEXAS
JULY 8, 1968
Mayor Dugger and all Councilmen present
Purpose of meeting to interview Mr. Jerry W. Burton for City Police.
Dan Strong made a motion to hire Jerry W. Burton as Chief of Police
for the City of Allen at a sarary of $700.00 per month starting
August 1st 1968. This motion was second by Roy Ewen, with all
Councilmen present and all councilmen voted for this motion.
A new car will be furnished as soon as the 1969 models are
available, we will secure a car of some type to be used until
this time.
Aaron Sandidge and George W. Martin have resigned as police
effective July 15th 1968.
