City Cunncil-City of Allen
November 7th 1968
Present : Mayor Frank Duvger-- Aldermen LeRoy Ewen, Dan Strong,
C.D. Whitaker, Robert E. Lowman and Mack Holloway.
Mr Garrett, Fred Fisher and T.L. Ray
Mr Garrett asked the Council about building back where
his mothers house had burned. The Council told Mr Garrett it would
be OK to make the repair with-out a permit.
Mayor-Protem C.J. Prashaw and City Manager Ken Lambert from the
Plano City Council was here to discuss the Incorpation of the Town
of Parker. Parkers incoraption takes in part of the City of
Plano and part of the City of Allen. These men
from Plano would like for the City of Plano and The City of Allen
to file a joint suit against the Town of Parker and get this matter
settled once and for all.
The Allen City Council agrees to enter into the case with the
City of Plano; and have our Attorney Mr. Alex Orr draw up the papers
Mr Fred Fisher talked with the City Council for some time about
working out some agreement on the Animal Ordinance.
No agreement was reached.
Discussion : On Permits for Mobil Home Parks
Motion by Claud D. Whitaker to charge the following rate per SPACE
1 to 25 SPACES $ 250.00
26 to 50 it 500.00
51 to 75 " 750.00
76 to 100 " 1000.00
Motion second by Robert E. Lowman
Motion passed Ayes 3 noes 2 (noes Dan & Roy)
Motion by Mr Whitaker to pay bills . Motion second by Dan Strong
Motion passed ayes 5 noes 0.
Police Chief Jerry Burton asked the Council for another man to
help him in his department, also talked about buying a RADOR Machine
at some later date. Chief Burton recommended a man that he had worke
ed with and would like for the Council to meet him.
Motion by Robert Lowman that the City Council approve the hiring
of another man with Chief Burton to direct the working hours for a
second man at a cost of $ 500.00 per month.
Motion sec. by Dan Strong. Motion passed 5 for none against.
Bleachers for the little League was mentioned.
