ORDINANCE NO. 515-6-84
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY,
TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF ALLEN HEIGHTS
DRIVE, PARTICULARLY THAT PORTION LOCATED FROM ITS
INTERSECTION WITH FM 2170 TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE
REALIGNMENT OF PROPOSED ALLEN HEIGHTS DRIVE AS PARTIALLY
PLATTED BUT UNNAMED, FROM ALLEN HEIGHTS DRIVE TO
"HILLSIDE LANE"; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the governing body of the city of Allen, Texas, did amend the
Thoroughfare Plan to realign Allen Heights Drive to a more appropriate location; and,
WHEREAS, the governing body has deemed an effort is in order to reduce
confusion and duplication of street names; and,
WHEREAS, the governing body of the .City of Allen has determined that no
residential or commercial occupation front on this portion of the existing Allen Heights
Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the changing of the name of this portion of the existing Allen Heights
Drive to Hillside Lane is timely; and,
WHEREAS, changing the name of this portion of Allen Heights Drive to Hillside
Lane can be accomplished simply through passage of this Ordinance amending the
Thoroughfare Plan to the City of Allen, Texas:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the, ,portion of Allen Heights Drive located from its
intersection with F.M. 2170 to its intersection with the realignment of proposed Allen
Heights Drive in the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, designated "Allen Heights
Drive" be and is by these presents hereby officially changed to and redesignated as
"Hillside Lane".
SECTION 2. That all Ordinances or portions of Ordinances of the City of Allen
Ordinance No. 515-6-84

in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby amended, to conform to the
provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
from and after its adoption.
