Min - City Council - 1969 - 02/06 - RegularREGULAR MEETING Feb. 6, 1969 City Council, City of Allen Allen, Texas Present : Mayor Frank Dugger Councilmen: Dan Strong, Claude Whitaker, Roy Ewen, Mack Holloway. Absent Bob Lowman. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. After holding a public hearing at which time no opposition appeared, Motion was made by Roy Ewen and seconded by Claude Whitaker that the zoning on Jack Hedgecoxe's property, being Lot 1 Block 12 Whis. Addn; be changed from it's present "B" Classifaction to "C","D" and "E" Classifaction. Motion Carried 4 For 0 against. Mrs Lometa Cassady appeared and asked questions con- cerning erecting a fence on her property. Council agreed to let Mrs Cassady put up a portion of her fence and see if it would obstruct the view of traffic, if not they would agree to let her construct fence as suggested . Mr Jack Solisby appeared and asked for information on Trailer Park property now owned by Charles Pifer. Council suggested that he work out his plans and bring his engineer and meet with Council at a later date. Jerry Carpenter and Ronnie Gentry asked Council about City buying 2 electric motors for hose reels on White Fire Truck at an approximate cost of $300.00. Motion Claude Whitaker second Mack Holloway that City buy these motors . Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Dan Strong abstained from voting. Motion Claude Whitaker Second Dan Strong that City pay bills as presented . Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against, Motion Claude Whitaker Second Dan Strong that City call election on April 5 for the purpose of electing 3 Councilmen, Motion carried 4 For 0 Against, Motion Claude Whitaker Second Dan Strong that the salary for Councilmen remain the same for next year as this year. Motion carried 4 For 0 Against . Motion Claude Whitaker Second Roy Ewen that Council approve Ordinance presented on the First Installment of Hill- side Village Addition and the 10 acre tract owned by the City to become a part of the Corporate Limits of the City. Motion carried 4 For 0 Against . Motion: Claude Whitaker second Dan Strong that City adopt an Electrical and Plumbing Code and have City Attorney to draw up Ordinance on same. Motion carried 4 For 0 Against, Motion Mack Holloway second Roy Ewen that no person be allowed to file for or hold City Office that owes City any debt . Motion carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion Dan Strong Second Claude Whitaker that City purchase a VASCAR Timing Unit to be placed in Police Patrol Car. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against . Motion made and passed that meeting be adjourned.
