Present : Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: Dan Strong, LeRoy Ewen, Robert E. Lowman,
C.D. Whitaker and Mack Holloway.
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.
Motion C. D. Whitaker Second Mack Holloway that bid
of Housley Fence Co. of $1,217.71, which was the low bid be
accepted for constructing a fence around car pound. Motion
Carried 5 For 0 Against,-
Motion Dan Strong Second C.D. Whitaker that Council
pass Ordinance on Maintance of Highways in City Limits by the
Highway Department. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Roy Hefner, Mr. & Mrs Robert Carr, Ed Lynge and Ward
Paxton appeared before Council and asked for information about
building a Swimming Pool. Mr Carr asked about the possibility
of using a portion of land belonging to the City, which is now
the old Sewer Plant. Council decieded to ask City Attorney's
Opinion on the legality of this before giving them any decision.
Jack Parson appeared and asked information about hooking
the Hillside Village Addition sewer line on to the City's main
sewer line. Council informed Mr. Parsons to check with the City
Engineer and upon his approval it would be permissable for him
to connect on to the Main Line.
Motion Dan Strong Second C.D. Whitaker that Bills pre-
sented be approved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against,
Ed Lynge appeared and asked about having livestock in
the City Limits and what had been done about those violating
the Ordinance on this. Council informed Mr Lynge that citations
had been issued an those found to be in violation of the Ord-
inance. Council also instructed Mr. Lynge to abide by the Ord-
inance if he moved any animals into the City Limits.
Neal Holmes appeared before Council and signed contract
between He and the City on the proposed Mobile Home Park on
Highway 5. Council agreed to give Mr. Holmes a permit to con-
struct said Mobile Home Park.
Motion Made and seconded to adjourn.
