AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 543-9-84
LEVYING A FEE FOR THE USE OF THE SWIMMING POOL AT FORD
PARK; PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF SUCH FEES,
DIRECTING THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD TO PROVIDE
FOR RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR SUBJECT POOL; DIRECTING
THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD TO PROVIDE FOR PROGRAMMING
OF SUBJECT POOL, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, upon review and consideration of the matter,
the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest
of the city to establish and levy a user fee structure to be
charged for the use of the city's public swimming pool located
at Ford Park, and to further provide for the collection and
crediting of such fees;)and,
WHEREAS, the collection of such fees would allow for an
increase in available funds for general facility maintenance
and programming of the public swimming facility; and,
WHEREAS, effective rules and regulations for the city's
public swimming pool must be established and administered; and,
WHEREAS, projected programming of the city's public
swimming pool must be established;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
Section I. The following section amends Section 1 of
Ordinance No. 543-9-84 and establishes a new Section 5:

C. The following user fees are hereby adopted and
levied, to be charged for the use of the city's
public swimming pool at Ford Park, and shall be
paid by those individuals and/or organizations
making use of the city's public swimming pool:
Dailv Admissions -
Resident, 7 and over per entrance
Non -Resident, 7 and over per entrance
Resident, 6 and under
Non -Resident, 6 and under
Seasonal Passes -
Resident - Individual
Non -Resident - Individual

Section 5. The fees established in Section 1.C,
shall be levied beginning May 24, 1986."
Section II. The City Council directs the Parks and Recreation
Board to establish official rules and regulations for the
operation of the city's municipal swimming pool at Ford Park and
directs that the Parks and Recreation Board review those rules and
regulations on a timely basis and update accordingly.
Section III. The City Council directs the Parks and
Recreation Board to establish appropriate programming of
activities for the city's public swimming pool at Ford Park
and directs that the established programming be reviewed on
a timely basis and updated accordingly.
