Present : Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: Dan Strong, Mack Holloway, Claude Whitaker,
Bob Lowman And Roy Ewen.
Irwin Harris presented the contract on the Urban Planning
Program to the Council. Council decided to study and discuss
Contract before signing.
Bill Boyd appeared along with Mr & Mrs Warren Smith and
spoke in behalf of a drainage problem in the alley behind the
Smith's property, also Mr. Boyd asked Council if they would
permit Mr. Smith to rock alley at his own expense. Council
agreed to contact the City Engineer and have him look at the
situation and follow his reccomendation as to what should be
done about this matter.
Charles Pifer appeared before council along with Sid Waynich
and Don Stroud and asked some questions about expanding the Mobile
Home Park on the property now owned by Mr Pifer.
Jack Parsons appeared before Council and proposed to guarantee
water and Sewer line maintainence for a period of (3) years and
also to pay for the excess infiltration in sewer lines if Council
would permit him to connect on to water lines and begin using Sewer.
Council also agreed to contact City Engineer and abide by his
reccomendation on this matter. Mr Parsons also presented to the
Council a preliminary plat on the Second Installment of the Hillside
Village Addition. Motion Dan Strong Second Bob Lowman that Council
approve this Installment when Final Plat is presented. Motion
Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Claude Whitaker that water meter
deposit be increased effective immediately, to $15.00. Motion
carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Claude Whitaker Second Dan Strong that City trans-
fer $77,506.02 from the Sewer Construction Fund to the General
Fund. $40,000.00 of this amount to be invested in Certificate of
Deposits. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Claude Whitaker Second Dan Strong that balance owed
on Street Warrants be paid off. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion made and Seconded that Council adjourn.
