Present : Mayor Frank Dugger
Coincilmen: Dan Strong, C.D. Whitaker, LeRoy Ewen,
Mack Holloway and Robert E. Lawman,
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.
Roy Hefner appeared before Council and asked about
the rezoning of Lots 5 6,7,8,9 & 10 Block 3 Of the Old Donation
from Zone "F" to Zone "H", also if it would be possible to get
the J.L. Dement property rezoned for a swimming pool in the event
that the Allen Swim Club bought this property. Council advised
Mr. Hefner to make application to the Planning and Zoning Commission
on both of these matters.
Mrs Jim Rankin and Mr & Mrs R.B. Whisenant appeared before
Council and asked for information as to the opening of the alley
running between Mrs Rankins property and the property owned by J.L.
Dement and W.E. Ford. Council agreed to contact City Attorney for
his opinion on this matter.
Jack Parsons appeared before Council and inquired as to
why garbage pick-up could not be made from the alleys in the
Hillside Village Addition. After some discussion, Council agreed
to contact Mr. Looney of the Southern Sanitation Company to see
if this could be arranged.
Motion Roy Ewen Second Dan Strong that bills presented
be approved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker that City Equal-
ization Board meet June 19, 1969 at 7:30 P.M. Motion Carried 5
For 0 Against,
Motion made and seconded that meeting be adjourned.
