Present : Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, LeRoy Ewen and Mack Holloway
Absent : Dan Strong and Bob Lowman.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Roy Ewen that minutes of
previous meeting be approved. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Jack Parsons appeared before Council to discuss the
drainage problem in the Hillside Village Addition. Mr Parsons
stated that he had met with the Texas Highway Department and
asked approval to diverte the water now coming under F.M. 2170
along the north side of F.M. 2170 Eastward. Mr Parsons stated
that the Highway Department refused to grant approval to this
request. Mr. Parsons then submitted an alternate approsal on the
situtation to the Council. This proposal was to diverte the
water coming under F.M. 2170,westward along his property by
digging a drainage ditch so as to keep the water on his own prop-
erty. Council suggested that Mr Parsons present his proposal along
with drawings to City Engineer for his study. Council would then
follow the reccomendation of the City Engineer on this proposal.
Mr Leon Ussery, Auditor for the City, appeared before
council as he had agreed to do at the previous meeting of the
Council and answered qustions concerning the Audit Report from
the Council.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Mack Holloway that bills
presented be approved. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Motion made and seconded that meeting be adjourned .
