AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS,
AMENDING SECTION 5.05, "PENALTY," OF ARTICLE V, "ENFORCEMENT," OF
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 829-11-87 BY PROVIDING FOR
A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS
($2,000.00) FOR EACH OFFENSE, AND PROVIDING FOR AN
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That from and after the effective date of this Ordinance, Section 5.05, 'Penalty," of
Article V, "Enforcement," of Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance No. 829-11-87, is hereby amended in
the following manner and shall read as follows, to -wit:
5.05 PENALTY - Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the
provisions of this Ordinance or who shall fail to comply with the provisions
hereof shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject
to a fine not to exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000.00), and each day that such
violation continues shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable
accordingly.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and
publication in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of Allen, and it is accordingly
so ordained.
