Present: Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: Roy Ewen, Mack Holloway, C.D. Whitaker & Clifford Hart.
Absent Bob Lowman.
Motion Roy Ewen Second Mack Holloway that minutes of previous meeting
be approved as read. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against.
Council agreed to issue John Shearer a permit to operate a Pool Hall
in the building over Cundiff's Hardware if all reqiurements of Ordinance No 71
are met.
Ronald Gentry appeared before Council and read a written proposal by
him upon becoming a paid fireman for the City on his days off from the City of
Richardson Fire Department. Mr Gentry proposed that he would spend about 15 days
per month on this job at a salary of $!400.00 per month. After some discussion
the Council voted not to accept this proposal as they felt the City was not able
to afford a paid fireman at this time.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Roy Ewen that Ordinance No 101 be approved.
This Ordinance being the annexing into the Corporate limits of the City the
Third Installment of the Hillside Pillage Addition, Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against.
Council discussed the matter of the water meter placed at the Allen Swim
Club. At this time the Swim Club has not paid the cost of the meter in the amount
of $149.00. It was decieded by Council that the Swim Club be billed again on their
August Billing for the meter. In the event that the meter charge is not paid by
August 15th, Council instructed Water Department to disconnect water service to
the Swim Club.
Motion Clifford Hart Second Mack Holloway that meeting adjourn. Motion
Carried 4 For 0 Against.
