Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Clifford Hart, Bob Lowman, Roy Ewen &
Mack Holloway
Motion Bob Lowman Second Roy that minutes of previous meeting
be approved as read by City Secretary A.C. Story. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Roy Ewen Second Clifford Hart that bills presented be
approved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against,
Jack Parsons appeared before Council to assure payment of the
damages in the amount of $ 775.00 done to the Fire Truck used by his company.
Fire Chief Ronnie Gentry appeared before Council and asked
approval of the Council on the purchase of a pump can, material to fill fire
extinguishers and the repair of a hose nozzle, Council granted approval on these
items.
Jerry Shipp appeared before Council seeking information on the
wrecker service and the impounding of wrecked cars and cars that were impounded
by the Police Department, Council advised Mr. Shipp that as long as he met the
City requirements on this type of service and was properly bonded and insured
they would have no objections to giving him the Cityes Wrecker Service.
Council agreed to meet in a Called meeting September 8, 1970
7:30 P.M. to discuss the street repair program.
Motion Mack Holloway Second C.D. Whitaker that City hire Pat
Dillard and George Wilcox to do the janitor service for the Fire Department
Building, Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against,

Holloway & Clifford Hart,
Mr Ray Hartley appeared before Council upon their invitation
to discuss the black topping of the City Streets. After some discussion Mr.
Hartley agreed to look at all of the streets, along with Chief Burton and
give the Council his reccomendation as to the condition of the base of the
streets, the drainage problems and what his proposal would be as to the beet
way to repair the streets.
Motion made and Seconded that Council Adjourn.
