AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS,
CHANGING THE NAME OF COUNTY ROAD 141, ALSO KNOWN AS
OLD ALMA ROAD, FROM MC DERMOTT DRIVE (F.M. 2170) SOUTH
TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE CITY OF PLANO, TO "TATUM
DRIVE"; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the construction of South Alma Drive necessitates that the City Council of the City of Allen,
Texas, change the name of County Road 141, also known as Old Alma Road, from McDermott Drive to its
intersection with the City of Plano to Tatum Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the current residents along this roadway have requested the road be named Tatum Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, is of the opinion that the safety and welfare of the
inhabitants of this roadway would best be served by changing the name of County Road 141, also known as
Old Alma Road, from McDermott Drive (F.M. 2170) to its intersection with the City of Plano, to "Tatum
Drive."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The street named County Road 141, also known as Old Alma Road, from McDermott Drive
south to its intersection with the City of Plano, be, and is by these presents hereby officially changed and
redesignated as "Tatum Drive.
SECTION 2: As a result of this change, the City of Allen will provide for notification of said change and
redesignation to all public utilities and postal authorities.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or portions of ordinances of the City of Allen in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby amended to conform to the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its adoption.
