A -RESOLUTION AND ORDER by the City Council of
the City of Allen, Texas, calling a bond election
to be held within said City, making provision for
the conduct of the election and other provisions
incident and related to the purpose of this resolution
and order.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Allen, Texas, has determined
that an election should be held to ascertain whether said
governing body shall be authorized to issue bonds of said
City in the amounts and for the purposes hereinafter mentioned;
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That an election be held on the tea_ day of
�^�=;7 wiich date is not less than fifteen (15) nor
more than ninety (90) days from the date of the adoption
hereof, at which election the following propositions shall be
submitted:
PROPOSITION NUMBER 1
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue revenue bonds of said City in the amount
of $2,300,000, maturing serially in such installments as may
be fixed by the City Council, the maximum maturity being not more
than FORTY (40) years from their date, to be issued and sold
at any price or prices and to bear interest at any rate or rates
as shall be determined within the discretion of the City Council
at the time of issuance, for the purpose of making permanent
public improvements, to wit: constructing improvements and
extensions to the City's Waterworks System; to be issued in
accordance with and in the manner provided in Article 1111 et
seq, V.A.T.C.S., and secured by a pledge of the net revenues
of the City's combined Waterworks and Sanitary Sewer System,
each bond to be conditioned that the holder thereof shall never
have the right to demand payment of said obligation out of funds
raised or to be raised by taxation?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 2
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue revenue bonds of said City in the amount
of $700,000, maturing serially in such installments as may
be fixed by the City Council, the maximum maturity being not
more than FORTY (40) years from their date, to be issued and
sold at any price or prices and to bear interest at any rate
or rates as shall be determined within the discretion of the
City Council at the time of issuance, for the purpose of making
permanent public improvements, to wit: constructing improvements
and extensions to the City's Sanitary Sewer System; to be issued
in accordance with and in the manner provided in Article 1111 et
seq, V.A.T.C.S., and secured by a pledge of the net revenues
of the City's -combined Waterworks and Sanitary Sewer System,
each bond to be conditioned that the holder thereof shall never
have the right to demand payment of said obligation out of funds
raised or to be raised by taxation?"

PROPOSITION NUMBER 3
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $3,400,000 general obligation bonds of
said City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements,
to wit: street improvements, including drainage incidental
thereto; said bonds to be issued in one or more installments
to mature serially over a period of years not to exceed FORTY
(40) years from their date, to be issued and sold at any price
or prices and to bear interest at any rate or rates as shall be
determined within the discretion of the City Council at the
time of issuance; and shall there be levied, assessed and
collected annually ad valorem taxes on all taxable property
in the City sufficient to pay the annual interest and to create
a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said bonds as they become
due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 4
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $570,000 general obligation bonds of
said City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements,
to wit: providing new city hall facilities including the
acquisition of a site therefor; said bonds to be issued in
one or more installments to mature serially over a period of
years not to exceed FORTY (40) years from their date, to be
issued and sold at any price or prices and to bear interest
at any rate or rates as shall be determined within the
discretion of the City Council at the time of issuance; and
shall there be levied, assessed and collected annually ad
valorem taxes on all taxable property in the City sufficient
to pay the annual interest and to create a sinking fund
sufficient to redeem said bonds as they become due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 5
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $120,000 general obligation bonds of said
City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements
to wit: providing police facilities including the proper
holding cells and security and the acquisition of a site
therefor; said bonds to be issued in one or more installments
to mature serially over a period of years not to exceed
FORTY (40) years from their date, to be issued and sold at
any price or prices and to bear interest at any rate or
rates as shall be determined within the discretion of the
City Council at the time of issuance; and shall there be levied,
assessed and collected annually ad valorem taxes on all taxable
property in the City -sufficient to pay the annual interest and
to create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said bonds as they
become due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 6
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $450,000 general obligation bonds of
said City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements
and for a public purpose, to wit; providing fire fighting
facilities including the acquisition of sites therefor; said
bonds to be issued in one or more installments to mature serially
over a period of years not to exceed FORTY (40) years from their
date, to be issued and sold at any price or prices and to bear
interest at any rate or rates as shall be determined within the
discretion of the City Council at the time of issuance; and shall
there be levied, assessed and collected annually ad valorem taxes
on all taxable property in the City sufficient to pay the annual
interest and to create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said
bonds as they become due?"

"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to, issue $190,000 general obligation bonds of
said City fortthe purpose of making permanent public improvements,
to wit: providing library facilities including the acquisition
of a site therefor; said bonds to be issued in one or more
installments to mature serially over a period of years not to
exceed FORTY x(40) years from their date, to be issued and sold
at any price or prices and to bear interest at any rate or rates
as shall be determined within the discretion of the City Council
at the time of issuance; and shall there be levied, assessed and
collected annually ad valorem taxes on all taxable property in the
City�sufficie-nt to pay the annual interest and to create a sinking
fund sufficie-i-it to redeem said bonds as they become due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 8
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $1,940,000 general obligation bonds of
said City for public purposes, to wit: acquiring or improving,
or both, land for park purposes; said bonds to be issued in
one or more installments to mature serially over a period of
years not to exceed FORTY (40) years from their date, to be
issued and sold at any price or prices and to bear interest
at any rate or rates as shall be determined within the
discretion of the City Council at the time of issuance; and
shall there be levied, assessed and collected annually ad
valorem taxes on all taxable property in the City sufficient
to pay the annual interest and to create a sinking fund
sufficient to redeem said bonds as they become due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 9
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $210,000 general obligation bonds of said
City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements,
to wit: providing an equipment service center including the
acquisition of a site therefor; said bonds to be issued in
one or more installments to mature serially over a period of
years not to exceed FORTY (40) years from their date, to be
issued and sold at any price or prices and to bear interest
at any rate or rates as shall be determined within the discretion
of the City Council at the time of issuance; and shall there be
levied, assessed and collected annually ad valorem taxes on all
taxable property in the City sufficient to pay the annual interest
and to create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said bonds as
they become due?"
SECTION 2: That paper ballots shall be used for said
election, which ballots shall be prepared in accordance with
the V.A.T.S. Election Code so as to permit the electors to
vote "FOR" or "AGAINST" the aforesaid propositions which
shall be set forth in substantially the following form:

FOR AN EQUIPMENT SERVICE CENTER"
The word "FOR" and beneath it the word "AGAINST" shall
be made to appear on the left of each proposition. A
square shall be printed on the left of each of the words
"FOR" and "AGAINST", and each elector shall place an "X" in
the square beside the statement indicating the way he wishes
to vote.
SECTION 3: That the entire City of Allen, Texas, shall
constitute one election precinct for this election and the
City Hall in said City is hereby designated as the polling
place.
On election day, the polls shall be open from 7:00 A.M.
to 7:00 P.M.
SECTION 4: That the following named persons are hereby
appointedofficers of the election:
Presiding Judge
Alternate Presiding Judge
The Presiding Judge shall appoint not less than two(2)
nor more than( ( � qualified clerks to serve

and assist in olding sai election; provided that if the
Presiding Judge herein appointed actually serves, the Alternate
Presiding Judge shall be one of the clerks.
Absentee voting shall be conducted at the City Secretary's
office in the City Hall, in accordance with the provisions
of V.A.T.S. Election Code, Chapter 5.
SECTION 5: That all resident qualified electors of the
City shall be—permitted to vote at said election. This
election shall be held and conducted in accordance with the
Texas Election Code except as modified by Chapter 1 of Title
22, V.A.T.C.S., and as may be required by law, all election
materials and proceedings shall be printed in both English
and Spanish.
SECTION 6: That a substantial copy of this resolution
and order s a 1 serve as proper notice of said election.
Said notice, including a Spanish translation thereof, shall
be posted in the election precinct and at the City Hall not
less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the date on which
said election is to be held, and be published on the same
day in each of two successive weeks in a newspaper of general
circulation in said City, the first of said publications to
be made not less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the
date set for said election.

UNA RESOLUCION Y DECRETO por el Concejo Municipal
de la Ciudad de Allen, Texas, declarando una
eleccinde bonos a tomar lugar dentro de dicha
Ciudad, estableciendo medidas para dirigir la
eleccion y otras estipulaciones que acompanen o
que sean pertinentes al propoto de esta resolucion
y decreto.
VISTO QUE, el Concejo Municipal de la Ciudad de Allen,.,-

llen,Texas, ha determinado que se debe llevar a cabo una eleccion
para determinar si dicho cuerpo gubernativo debera'ser
autorizado a emitir bonos de dicha Ciudad por un total y con
el fin mas adelante mencionado; por consiguiente ahora,
SE RESUELVE Y SE DECRETA POR EL CONCEJO MUNICIPAL DE LA
CIUDAD DE ALLEN:
SECCION 1: Que una eleccion tome lugar el dia '�O de

antes ni mds de noventa (90) dins despises de la fecha de
aprobacidn de esto; en cuya eleccion se presentaran las
siguientes proposiciones:
PROPOSICION NUMERO 1
"�DEBERA el Concejo Municipal de la Ciudad de
Allen, Texas, ser autorizado a emitir $2,300,000
en bonos de ingreso de dicha Ciudad a madurar escalonadamente
en cuotas a ser fijadas por el Concejo Municipal, con
un vencimiento maximo no mayor de CUARENI'A (40) anos a
partir de su fecha de emisii5lh, que sean emitidos y.,
vendidos al precio o precios y que devenguen interes al
porcentaje o porcentajes a ser determinado a voluntad
del Concejo Municipal al ser emitidos, para hacer mejoras
pu'blicas permanentes, a saber: construir- mejoras y
extensiones al sistema de aguas corrientes de la Ciudad;
a ser emitidos de acuerdo con y en la manera contemplada
en el Articulo 1111 y sub � guientes, V.A.T.C.�, y
respaldados con la garantia de los ingresos liquidos
provenientes del funcionamiento combinado de los servicios
de agua y el sistema sanitario de cloacas de la Ciudad,
Cada bono redactado en forma tal que negara'al jposeedor
el derecho de exigir el pago de dicha obligacion con
fondos obtenidos o a ser obtenidos por medio de impuestos?"

bonos de ingreso de dicha Ciudad a madurar escalonadamente
en cuotas a ser fijadas por el Concejo Municipal, con
un vencimiento m9ximo no mayor de CUARENTA (40) afros a
partir de su fecha de emision, que sean emitidos y ,
vendidos al precio o precios y que devenguen interes al
porcentaje o porcentajes a ser determinado a voluntad
del Concejo Municipal al ser emitidos, para hacer mejoras
publicas permanentes, a saber: construir mejoras y
extensiones al sistema sanitario municipal de cloacas;
a ser emitidos de acuerdo con y en la manera contemplada
en el Articulo 1111 y subsiguientes, V.A.T.C.S., y
respaldados con la garantia de los ingresos liquidos
provenientes del funcionamiento combinado de los servicios
de agua y el sistema sanitario de cloacas de la Ciudad,
cada bono redactado en forma tal que negara'al _poseedor

hacer mejoras publicas permanentes, a saber: proveer

para estas de los terrenos; dichos bonos a ser emitidos
en una o mats series, a madurar en forma escalonada por
un periodo no mayor de CUARENTA (40) anos a partir de
la fecha de emisidn, a ser emitidos y vendidos al
precio o precios y a devengar interes al porcentaje o
porcentajes a ser determinado a voluntad del Concejo
Municipal a partir de emisid-; y habra-de ser gravados,
tasados y anualmente cobrados los impuestos segun el
valor de todas las propiedades imponibles en la ciudad
para pagan el interes anual y crear suficientes fondos
de amortizacion para rescatar dichos bonos cuando los
mismos venzan?"
PROPOSICION NUMERO 5
"L Debera el Concejo Municipal de la Ciudad de-IIAllen, Texas, ser autorizado a emitir-bonos de obligacion
general de dicha ciudad por un total de $120,000 para
hacer mejoras pAlicas permanentes, a saber: proveer
facilidades de policia incluyendo celdas de retenimiento
y seguridad adecuada y la adquisicion para estas de los
terrenos; dichos bonos a ser emitidos en una o mas
series, a madurar en forma escalonada por un periodo no
mayor de CUARENTA (40) ams a partir de la fecha de
emision, a ser emitidos y vendidos al precio o precios
y a devengar intere's al porcentaje o porcentajes a ser
determinado a voluntad del Concejo Municipal a partir
de emision; y habra✓de ser gravados, tasados y anualmente
cobrados los impuestos segun el valor de todas las
propiedades imponibles en la ciudad para pagar el
interes anual y crear suficientes fondos de amortizacion
para rescatar dichos bonos cuando los mismos venzan?"
PROPOSICION NUMERO 6

Texas, ser autorizado a emitir bonos de obligacion general

lucha de incendios incluyendo la adquisicion para estas de
los terrenos; dichos bonos a ser emitidos en una o mas series,

CUARENTA (40) abs a partir de la fecha de emision, a ser
emitidos y vendidos al precio o precios y a devengar interes
al porcentaje o porcentajes a ser determinado a voluntad del
Concejo Municipal a partir de emision; y habrar de ser gravados,
tasados y anualmente cobrados los impuestos segun el valor de
todas las propiedades imponibles en la ciudad para pagar el
intere's anual y crear suficientes fondos de amortization para
rescatar dichos bonos cuando los mismos venzan?"
PROPOSICION NUMERO 7
"zDebera'el Concejo Municipal de la Ciudad de Allen,
Texas, ser autorizado a emitir bonos de obligacion general
de dicha ciudad por un total de $190,000 para hacer mejoras
putlicas permanentes, a saber: proveer facilidades para
biblioteca incluyendo la adquisicion para esto de los terrenos;
dichos bonos a ser emitidos en una o mas series, a madurar
en forma escalonada por un periodo no mayor de CUARENTA (40)
anos a partir de la fecha de emision, a ser emitidos y vendidos
al precio o precios y a devengar interes al porcentaje o
porcentajes a ser determinado a voluntad del Concejo Municipal
a partir de emision; y habra'de ser gravados, tasados y
anualmente cobrados los impuestos segun el valor de today las
propiedades imponibles en la ciudad para -Pagar el interes anua
y crear suficientes fondos de amortizacion para rescatar
dichos bonos cuando los mismos venzan?"
PROPOSICION NUMERO 8
"L Debera'el Concejo Municipal de la Ciudad de Allen,
Texas, ser autorizado a emitir bonos de obligacion general
de dicha ciudad por un total de $1,940,000 para propositos
publicos, a saber: adquirir o mejorar, o ambos, terreno para
parques; dichos bonos a ser emitidos en una o ma's series, a
madurar en forma escalonada por un periodo no may de
CUARENTA (40) anos a partir de la fecha de emision, a ser
emitidos y vendidos al precio o precios y a devengar interes
a1 porcentaje o porcentajes a ser determinado a voluntad del
Concejo Municipal a partir de emision; y habra de ser gravados,
tasados y anualmente cobrados los impuestos segun el valor de
todas las propiedades imponibles en la ciudad para pagar el
interes anual y crear suficientes fondos de amortizacion para
rescatar dichos bonos cuando los mismos venzan?"
PROPOSICION NUMERO 9
"LDebera'el Concejo Municipal de la Ciudad de Allen,
Texas, ser autorizado a emitir bonos de obligacion general
de dicha ciudad por un total de $210,000 para hacer mejoras
publicas permanentes, a saber: proveer un centro de servicio
de equipo incluyendo la adquisicion para esto de los terrenos;
dichos bonos a ser emitidos en una o mrs- series, a madurar en
forma escalonada por un periodo no mayor de CUARENTA (40) anos
a partir de la fecha de emision, a ser emitidos y vendidos al
precio o precios y a devengar interes'al porcentaje o
porcentajes a ser determinado a voluntad del Concejo Municipal
-oartir'de emision; y habra�de ser gravados, tasados y
annualmente cobrados loos impuestos segun el valor de todas
las propiedades imponibles en la ciudad para pap

SECCION 2 Que se usen balotas electorales de papel en
dicha e eccion, las cuales balotas se prepararan de acuerdo
con el Codigo Electoral, V.A.T.S. de manera de permitir que

Se pondrrn las palabras "EN PRO" y bajo ellas las,,
palabras "EN CONTRA" a la izquierda de cada proposicion. Se
dibujara'un cuadrito a la izquierda de las palabras "EN PRO"
y "EN CONTRA", y sada votante pondra una "X" en el cuadrito
al lado de la proposicion indicando como desea votar.

A RESOLUTION AND ORDER by the City Council of
the City of Allen, Texas, calling a bond election
to be held within said City, making provision for
the conduct of the election and other provisions
incident and related to the purpose of this resolution
and order.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Allen, Texas, has determined
that an election should be held to ascertain whether said
governing body shall be authorized to issue bonds of said
City in the amounts and for the purposes hereinafter mentioned;
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That an election be held on the 9& day of

more than ninety (90) days from the date of the adoption
hereof, at which election the following propositions shall be
submitted:
PROPOSITION NUMBER 1
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue revenue bonds of said City in the amount
of $2,300,000, maturing serially in such installments as may
be fixed by the City Council, the maximum maturity being not more
than FORTY (40) years from their date, to be issued and sold
at any price or prices and to bear interest at any rate or rates
as shall be determined within the discretion of the City'Council
at the time of issuance, for the purpose of making permanent
public improvements, to wit: constructing improvements and
extensions to the City's Waterworks System; to be issued in
accordance with and in the manner provided in Article 1111 et
seq, V.A.T.C.S., and secured by a pledge of the net revenues
of the City's combined Waterworks and Sanitary Sewer System,
each bond to be conditioned that the holder thereof shall never
have the right to demand payment of said obligation out of funds
raised or to be raised by taxation?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 2
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue revenue bonds of said City in the amount
of $700,000, maturing serially in such installments as may
be fixed by the City Council, the maximum maturity being not
more than FORTY (40) years from their date, to be issued and
sold at any price or prices and to bear interest at any rate
or rates as shall be determined within the discretion of the
City Council at the time of issuance, for the purpose of making
permanent public improvements, to wit: constructing improvements
and extensions to the City's Sanitary Sewer System; to be issued
in accordance with and in the manner provided in Article 1111 et
seq, V.A.T.C.S., and secured by a pledge of the net revenues
of the City's.combined Waterworks and Sanitary Sewer System,

have the right to demand payment of said obligation out of funds

PROPOSITION NUMBER 3

authorized to issue $3,400,000 general obligation bonds of
said City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements,
to wit: street improvements, including drainage incidental
thereto; said bonds to be issued in one or more installments
to mature serially over a period of years not to exceed FORTY
(40) years from their date, to be issued and sold at any price
or prices and to bear interest at any rate or rates as shall be
determined within the discretion of the City Council at the
time of issuance; and shall there be levied, assessed and
collected annually ad valorem taxes on all taxable property
in the City sufficient to pay the annual interest and to create
a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said bonds as they become
due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 4
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $570,000 general obligation bonds of
said City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements,
to wit: providing new city hall facilities including the
acquisition of a site therefor; said bonds to be issued in
one or more installments to mature serially over a period of
years not to exceed FORTY (40) years from their date, to be
issued and sold at any price or prices and to bear interest
at any rate or rates as shall be determined within the
discretion of the City Council at the time of issuance; and
shall there be levied, assessed and collected annually ad
valorem taxes on all taxable property in the City sufficient
to pay the annual interest and to create a sinking fund
sufficient to redeem said bonds as they become due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 5
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $120,000 general obligation bonds of said
City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements
to wit: providing police facilities including the proper
holding cells and security and the acquisition of a site
therefor; said bonds to be issued in one or more installments
to mature serially over a period of years not to exceed
FORTY (40) years from their date, to be issued and sold at
any price or prices and to bear interest at any rate or
rates as shall be determined within the discretion of the
City Council at the time of issuance; and shall there be levied,
assessed and collected annually ad valorem taxes on all taxable
property in the City sufficient to pay the annual interest and
to create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said bonds as they
become due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 6
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $450,000 general obligation bonds of
said City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements
and for a public purpose, to wit; providing fire fighting
facilities including the acquisition of sites therefor; said
bonds to be issued in one or more installments to mature serially
over a period of years not to exceed FORTY (40) years from their
date, to be issued and sold at any price or prices and to bear
interest at any rate or rates as shall be determined within the
discretion of the City Council at the time of issuance; and shall
there be levied, assessed and collected annually ad valorem taxes
on all taxable property in the City sufficient to pay the annual
interest and to create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said
bonds as they become due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 7
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $190,000 general obligation bonds of
said City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements,
to wit: providing library facilities including the acquisition
of a site therefor; said bonds to be issued in one or more
installments to mature serially over a period of years not to
exceed FORTY (40) years from their date, to be issued and sold
at any price or prices and to bear interest at any rate or rates
as shall be determined within the discretion of the City Council
at the time of issuance; and shall there be levied, assessed and
collected annually ad valorem taxes on all taxable property in the
City sufficient to pay the annual interest and to create a sinking
fund sufficient to redeem said bonds as they become due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 8
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $1,940,000 general obligation bonds of
said City for public purposes, to wit: acquiring or improving,
or both, land for park purposes; said bonds to be issued in
one or more installments to mature serially over a period of
years not to exceed FORTY (40) years from their date, to be
issued and sold at any price or prices and to bear interest
at any rate or rates as shall be determined within the
discretion of the City Council at the time of issuance; and
shall there be levied, assessed and collected annually ad
valorem taxes on all taxable property in the City sufficient
to pay the annual interest and to create a sinking fund
sufficient to redeem said bonds as they become due?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER 9
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, be
authorized to issue $210,000 general obligation bonds of said
City for the purpose of making permanent public improvements,
to wit: providing an equipment service center including the
acquisition of a site therefor; said bonds to be issued in
one or more installments to mature serially over a period of
years not to exceed FORTY (40) years from their date, to be
issued and sold at any price or prices and to bear interest
at any rate or rates as shall be determined within the discretion
of the City Council at the time of issuance; and shall there be
levied, assessed and collected annually ad valorem taxes on all
taxable property in the City sufficient to pay the annual interest
and to create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said bonds as
they become due?"
SECTION 2: That paper ballots shall be used for said
election, which ballots shall be prepared in accordance with
the V.A.T.S. Election Code so as to permit the electors to
vote "FOR" or "AGAINST" the aforesaid propositions which
shall be set forth in substantially the following form:

The word "FOR" and beneath it the word "AGAINST" shall
be made to appear on the left of each proposition. A
square shall be printed on the left of each of the words
"FOR" and "AGAINST", and each elector shall place an "X" in
the square beside the statement indicating the way he wishes
to vote.
SECTION 3: That the entire City of Allen, Texas, shall
constitute one election precinct for this election and the
City Hall in said City is hereby designated as the polling
place.
On election day, the polls shall be open from 7:00 A.M.
to 7:00 P.M.
SECTION 4: That the following named persons are hereby
appointed officers of the election:
Presiding Judge
Alternate Presiding Judge
The Presiding Judge shall appoint not less than two(2)
nor more than 61jr— () qualified clerks to serve
and assist in holding saide ection; provided that if the
Presiding Judge herein appointed actually serves, the Alternate
Presiding Judge shall be one of the clerks.
Absentee voting shall be conducted at the City Secretary's
office in the City Hall, in accordance with the provisions
of V.A.T.S. Election Code, Chapter 5.
SECTION 5: That all resident qualified electors of the
City shall e permitted to vote at said election. This
election shall be held and conducted in accordance with the
Texas Election Code except as modified by Chapter 1 of Title
22, V.A.T.C.S., and as may be required by law, all election
materials and proceedings shall be printed in both English
and Spanish.
SECTION 6: That a substantial copy of this resolution
and order s a.Cl serve as proper notice of said election.
Said notice, including a Spanish translation thereof, shall
be posted in the election precinct and at the City Hall not
less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the date on which
said election is to be held, and be published on the same
day in each of two successive weeks in a newspaper of general
circulation in said City, the first of said publications to
be made not less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the
date set for said election.
