A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS,
SUSPENDING THE OPERATION OF PROPOSED RATE SCHEDULES FILED BY
TEXAS POWER & LIGHT COMPANY FOR A PERIOD OF ONE HUNDRED AND
TWENTY (120) DAYS BEYOND THE DATE ON WHICH SUCH SCHEDULES
WOULD OTHERWISE GO INTO EFFECT.
WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company (TP&L) did on February 12,
1982, file a schedule of rates for service within the
City of Allen to be come effective March 19, 1982; and
WHEREAS, after having considered the request by TP&L, it is
the opinion of the City Council of the City of Allen,
that such scheduled rates should be suspended for a
period of 120 days from March 19, 1982, for further
study, investigation, presentation of evidence, and
public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 43(d) of the Public Utility
Regulatory Act, the operation of TP&L proposed
rate schedule filed with the City of Allen on
February 12, 1982, is hereby suspended for a
period of 120 days from March 19, 1982, for further
study, investigation, presentation of evidence,
and public hearing.
Section 2. The City Secretary is directed to provide a copy
of this resolution to representatives of TP&L.
