Min - City Council - 1973 - 01/04 - RegularREGULAR MEETING January 4, 1973 City Council, City of Allen iA Presents Mayor: Frank Dagger ® Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Bob Lowman, Clifford Hart, Johnnie Blankenship and Johnry Pannell. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that minutes of previous meeting be Approved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker that bills presented be approved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Dillard Adney appeared before Council seeking permission to build a metal building on the back of the lot where he resides. This building is to be for a garage and a plumbing shop. Council advised Mr. Adney to meet with the Planning and Zoning Commission on this project. Bobby Tod appeared before Council and spoke of a problem that exists because of construction in Hillside Village Addition on a road that he most travel to go too and from his home. Mr. Tod asked if Council could take some action to cause the developer to finish this street so that he would have a way to get in and out during wet weather. Mayor Dagger agreed to contact the Developer, Neil Holm, and see if this problem could not be solved. Newton Buckley, on behalf of the Jaycees, appeared and gave a report on the progress of the work his organization had done on the park site at Jupiter Road. March 21st, 1973 has been tentatively set as date for the dedication for this park. Mayor Dagger asked Jaycees to help select a Park & Recreation Committee to plan and make reccomendations on the use and operation of this park. Mr. Buckley agreed to take this suggestion back to the Jaycees for their action. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnnie Blankenship that meeting adjourn.
