Whitaker, Bob Lowman, Johnny Pannell, Clifford Bart. Absent: Johnnie Blankenship. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that minutes of previous meeting be approved. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion Clifford Hart Second Bob Lowman that bills presented be approved. Motion carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that Ordinance No. 139 rezoning a tract of land owned by Gary Hefner be approved. Motion carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion Johnny Pannell Second C.D. Whitaker that Ordinance No. 140 closing the alley running East and West through Block 17 of the Old Donation. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. City Engineer Walter Hicks appeared before Council and presented results of the bid opening on the construction of the water line and storage tanks. Mr. Hicks reccomended that the low bid submitted by F.W. Korioth Company in the amount of $289,806.12 on contract #976, Gorbett Brothers, Inc. $121,927.00 on Contract #978, Pittsburg -Des Moines Co. $134,280.00 on contract #979, Smith Pump Company $17,022.00 on contract #980, also $913.00 be added to Smith Pump Company's bid for the installation of larger pumps, on this project. Motion Johnny Pannell Second C.D. Whitaker that reccomendation of Engineer be approved. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that Mayor Dugger be granted authority to sign water line construction contracts. Motion carried 4 For 0 Against. Postmaster Bill Enloe appeared before Council and announced that Cluster Mail Delivery would be available to the City in the near future. Warren Hardin appeared before Council seeking permission for the owner of the N.B. Sheppard property to manufacture a product to be used in Housing Construct- ion. Council advised Mr. Hardin to meet with Planning & Zoning since there was a problem of zoning involved. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that letter be written to FHA confirming the set back lines on property arced by Charles Guede at 204 & 206 Boyd Place. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that Bob Montgomery be paid $62.00 per month, starting January 1st, for typing work of the Police Department, Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker that meeting adjourn. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against.
