Whitaker, Bob Lowman, Clifford Hart, Johnny Pannell Absent'% Johnnie Blankenship Motion Bob Lawman Second Johngy Pannell that minutes of previous meeting be approved as read. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion Bob Lowman Second C1Lfford Hart that Tax Rate for 1973 be set at $1.25 per hundred dollar valuation. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob _Lawman that September 6, 1973, 7:30 P.M. be set as date for Public Hearing on Lata 9A-9B-l0A-lOB - Block D - Old Donation Lot 6 - Block D - Old Donation, Lots 4 -5 -6A -6C - Block C - Old Donation. A request had been made to change the zoning classifaction on these Lots from their present R-16 to OCPD Classifaction. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowgan that bills presented be approved. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Randy Henry appeared before Council asking a special exception be granted on a residence on North Anna street so as to permit the operation of an art studio. Council advised Mr. Henry to have the people adjoining this property to affix their signature to a petition stating that they had no objection to the, operation of this business at this loacation. These names to be made a part of the minutes. Council is to have a joint meeting with the School Board September 17th at the hone of Bob Lowman to discuss plans for the future growth of the City and the School. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that $7,297.00 be allocated to the Library Building, $2,000.00 to Jaycees for City Park Equipment, Jaycees to get approval from City on -this equipment before any funds are spent, These expenditures to be made from the Revenue Sharing Fund. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Library Board met with Council to discuss plans for New Library Building. Council advised this Board to present plans on a 2400 square foot building at the September 20th meeting. Council authorized Jimmy Eaton to have a Two way Radio installed in the Ford pick up and flashing yellow lights on both water Department trucks. Motion JohhniW Pannell Second Bob Lowman that mowing fee charged by the City be changed from $15.00 per hour to $40.00 for first hour or any fraction of and $15.00 per hour or ar* fraction thereafter per lot.
