Present: Mayor Frank Dogger
Councilmen: Clifford Hart, Johnny Pannell and Johnnie Blankenship.
Absent: C.D. Whitaker & Bob Lowman.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Johnnie Blankenship that minutes of previous
meeting be approved as read. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Public Hearing was held on Special Exception Request of William F. Chester
who proposes to construct a building to house -a Retail -,Tire & Minor Auto Repair
Store on a tract of land arced by him in the W.J. Jackson Survey Abstract N 484,
which is adjacent to the Allen Texaco Station on the North. After some discussion,
Motion Johnny Blankenship Second Clifford Hartts" p, that this request be tabled
untill next Council Meeting on October 18, at which time John Moon, who is expected
to be the tenant in this building, was to be invited to this meeting. Motion
Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Motion Clifford Hart Second Johnny Pannell that Ordinance No 156 be approved,
Changing the zoning on Late 4,5,6A&6c - Block C - Old Donation, 699A99B910A & lOB -
Block D - Old Donation from R-16 Classlfection to OCPD . Motion Carried 3 For 0
Against.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Johnnie Blankenship that bills presented be
approved. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Johnnie Blankenship that a loan be secured
from some lending agency for the purchase of the C.L. Shelton Property. Motion
Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Request was made by Water Superintendent, Jimmie Eaton, that employees of
the Water Department be paid on an hourly basis and time and a half be paid em-
ployees for all work over 40 hours per week. Council denied this request.
Council agreed to hire a High School Girl to work in City Office for approx-
imately 6 hours per week at $2.00 per hour. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
