Whitaker Second Mickey Pierson to wait until tower is empty and then secure bids. Motion carried 4 for 0 against. Ron Gentry requested S tires for the Fire Dept. Car. Motion H.C. Brooks, Jr., Second C.D. Whitaker that Fire Dept. be allowed to purchase tires for car. Motion carried 4 for 0 against. Ron Gentry also requested to buy 0.80 walkie talkies. Council tabled until further study could be made. Motion H.C. Brooks, Jr., Second Bob Lowman to pay bills with the exception of Pierce Pump, Smith Pump and Texaco. Motion carried 4 for P against. Motion carried 4 for 0 against. Motion Mickey Pierson Second C.D. Whitaker to extend Southern Sanitation's contract for garbage picukp. Motion carried 4 for 0 against. Mary Tod, Chairman of Finance for the Bicentennial Committee, appeared and requested that the City aid the Committee. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman to appropriate $500.00 to the Committee. Motion carried 4 for 0 against. Motion Bob Lowman Second Mickey Pierson to set April 3, 1976, as the election date for City offices. Motion carried 4 for 0 against. Melvin Gant is judge. Warren Hardin is assistant. Polls will be open from 7am to 7 pm. Director of Public Works, Jim Eaton, appeared and presented bids on a fence around the lift station. low bid was Housley's Fence Co. at $402.00. Motion C.D.
