Min - City Council - 1979 - 07/19 - Regular3� M REGULAR MMING July 19, 1979 City Council, City of Allen Present: Mayor: M.B. Pierson Councilmen: Joe Farmer, R.R. Daugherty, Rex Womack, Rickard Chumbley, Charles Chandler, and Glen Andrew Meeting was called to order by Mayor Pierson. Motion Farmer Second Womack to approve the minutes of the July 5th meeting. Motion carried unanimously. Motion Ckumbley Second Farmer to approve the minutes of the July 12th Special meeting with the School Board with one correction, that "Reddick" be used instead of 'Pete Ford Property". Motion carried unanimously. A Public Hearing was held on the zoning request from Charles Forbes, changing from R2 to G.I. Motion Farmer Second Andrew to approve the rezoning request. Mr. Stan Itsowitz stated that should Bethany be rerouted through a portion of his property, he could see no reason for not granting a right of way, as it would kelp to develop his property. Motion carried unanimously. Gra. No. 2 0 - The Sub -Division Ordinance was read the second time, with a few minor changes made and with some comments from the developers, mostly very favorable. Motion Z&Ugherty Second Andrew to have the City Manager prepare the final document and for it to be placed on the agenda at the earliest possible time for approval. Motion carried unanimously. Walter Curtis, Tax Assessor presented the tax roll for 1979-80, along with the certification of the Equalization Board. The assessed value of all property being $56,984,990, less all exemptions, for a net of $56,183,310. Motion Womack Second Andrew to certify the 1979-80 tax roll. Motion carried 7 for 0 against. Motion Farmer Second Andrew to express the councils appreciation for a job well done by issuing certificates to the Equalization Board. Motion carried unanimously, Motion Farmer Second Andrew to adopt a resolution in support of McKinney becoming a member city of the North Texas Waste Water District. Motion carried unanimously. Little Mineral was selected for the Council and Staff budget retreat on August 11th. The City Manager briefed the council on the Peveto Bill, which will extablish a central appraising office.
