Daugherty, Rex Womack, Richard Chumbley and Glenn Andrew Motion Andrew Second Chumbley to approve the minutes of the July 19th meeting. Motion carried 5 for 0 against. (Womack late for vote) Mr. J.D. Buchanan presented plans for the issuance of the 1979 G.O. and Revenue Bonds. Duanne Smith gave the council copies of an amendment to the suit previously filed. Motion Daugherty Second Andrew to pass Ordinance 11271 " AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $2,000,000 CITY OF ALLEN TEXAS, GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 1979, DATED AUGUST 1, 1979" Motion carried 6 for 0 against. Motion Womack Second Chumbley to pass Ordinance 11272, "AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $1,300,000 CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1979, DATED AUGUST 1, 1979". Motion carried 6 for 0 against. The Proposed Use Hearing for the 1979-80 Revenue Sharing Funds was held Estimated funds in the amount of $46,900 were considered; however, as no suggestion were offered, the council will consider staff suggestions for capital items. George Gunter of Cable Television Co. reported that all engineering had been completed, the city maped, pole attachment agreements with Bell and TP & L had been secured, and that they would be in operation in the 1st quarter of 1980. Council advised staff to work out location of tow and disk and advised Mr. Gunter to present engineering plans to the City Engineer for review. Motion Andrew Second Daugherty to authorize the 644y He City Manager to apply for 701 Grant Funds for 1980. Motion Carried Unanimously. The Proposed Budget for FY 1979-80 was presented to the Council. Motion Andrew Second Chumbley to hold a Public Hearing on the budget, including Revenue Sharing Budget, on Sept 15, 1979 at 9:00 A.M. Motion Carried 6 For 0 Against. Motion Chumbley Second Womack to authorize payment in the amount of $420.00 to Crowder and Mattox and to Allen Fence Co., in the amount of $862.00 from the 1972 Revenue Bond Funds. Motion Carried 6 For 0 Against. As the Subdivision Ordinance revision had not been completed, the council will consider passing this ordinance at the next meeting. i [9 C cont.
