Min - City Council - 1979 - 08/16 - Regular,)�o REGULAR SESSION CITY COUNCIL August 16, 1979 Present: Mayor M.B. Pierson Councilmen: Joe Farmer, Charles Chandler, H.R. Daugherty, Rex Womack and Richard Chumbley Absent: Glenn Andrew The meeting of the Allen City Council was called to order by Mayor M.B. Pierson. Motion Daugherty Second Chandler to approve the minutes of the August 2 meeting. Motion carried unanimously. Motion Daugherty Second Chandler to approve the Sub Division Ordinance #273 with exceptions as noted. Motion carried 6 for 0 against. Tom Cravens presented for approval the final plat of Oak Hill Addition. This will be another Today Home with 1250-1450 sq. ft. living area. Jack Stein, resident of Hillside Fox and Jacobs homes, asked that the council not approve or at least delay their approval of this plat be- cause of the warranty response from this company, and also because of the poor condition of the streets and curbs. Bob Gas, of F & J, assure the council that all damages done by their equipment would be taken care of. Dick Vandy, Dist. Sales Mgr., assured Mr. Stein that all warranty work would be done on his home and anyone elses who had a problem. For the Oak Hill Addition, F & J is to escrow money for 2211' of paving for Jupiter Road and also pro rata for sewer tie. Motion carried 6 for 0 against. The City Manager is to investiage the problems with F & J and report back to the council at the next meeting. Prior to that meeting, all repairs that are needed be made known to the Co. and if they so opt, to give us a time line for those repairs. At that time, we would reconsider. Charles Crouch with Joe Duncan and Del Morton, presented the Final Plat for approval of Phase I, Fountain Park East, Installment 1 & 2. Cecil Richards, an adjoining property owner, requested that a study be made as to the effect of their drainage plan to the adjoining properties. Motion Daugherty Second Chandler to table for two weeks, until an acceptable method of drainage has been accepted by Mr. Richards. Will consider at next meeting. Motion carried 3 for 2 against. (Pierson and Womack) Chumbley out of room. The developer's problem of securing easements for sewer in High Meadows 42 was discussed. No action taken. Developer to proceed with securing easements.
