Present: Mayor M.B. Pierson
Councilmen: Joe Farmer, H.R. Daugherty, Charles Chandler,
Rex Womack, Richard Chumbley, and Glen Andrew
Meeting called to order by Mayor Pierson.
J.W. Reed appeared in regard to a problem with the pavement cracking
on the street leading up to Bethany Apartments. He requested that the
council allow enough time to see what the street was going to do before
having to replace it. After discussing for some time possible correct-
ive measures and a performance bond proposal, a motion was made by Joe
Farmer that an agreement be drawn up with Mr. Reed to the effect that
the street be replaced by September 1, 1980. The agreement is to be
explicite and any expense incurred be at Mr. Reed's expense. Motion
seconded by Andrew, carried 7 for 0 against.
Motion Farmer Second Andrew to pay Ron Fix for the Capital Improvements
Engineering fees out of 1972 Bond Fund, in the amount of $7459.20 .
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion Farmer Second Daugherty to pay the city's share of the J.W. Reed
bill for the water line installation at Jupiter and Bethany, out of
the 1972 Revenue Bond Fund. Motion carried unanimously. The city's
share is $6051.32.
Motion Womack Second Chandler to adjourn into Executive Session.
Motion carried unanimously.
