A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, SUPPORTING THE NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS FUSION
SYSTEM AND ITS REQUEST FOR FUNDING FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
HOMELAND SECURITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the North Central Texas Fusion System (System) enables prevention or mitigation of
intentional, accidental and natural disasters; and,
WHEREAS, the System brings together public health, law enforcement, fire and emergency management
data for cross- discipline analysis; and,
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has expressed their intent to work closely with the
System on analysis; and,
WHEREAS, Collin County, on behalf of the region, has put together a proposal for funding of the joint
initiative.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Allen requests that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security give serious
consideration to the funding of the "Detection of Radicalization in North Central Texas" proposal because of
' the importance to the City, region and nation.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in effect immediately upon its adoption.
