' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO
THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR A
GRANT THROUGH THE HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS (HOME)
PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESGINEE, TO
EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs recently issued the 2006-07 call for
applications for participation in the HOME Investment Partnerships Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen, Texas, desires to participate in the Owner Occupied Housing Assistance
Program by submitting a grant application requesting an amount not to exceed $275,000; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Grant is to expand the Home Repair Program, that currently exists with a
multi-year waiting list, which helps extremely low, very low, and low-income families rehabilitate or improve
their homes in the target neighborhoods; and,
WHEREAS, matching funds equal to twenty-five percent of the awarded grant will be made available by the
City of Allen for the Owner Occupied House Assistance Program in accordance with the Texas Department
of Housing and Community Affairs HOME Investment Partnerships Program guidelines; and,
' WHEREAS, the City of Allen commits to the project's development, implementation, maintenance and
financing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The submission of the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program Application is
approved and the City Manager, or designee, is authorized to execute all documents necessary for the
submission.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective from and after its passage.

COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 11TH DAY OF APRIL, 2006.
