This work shop session was called by the City Council to

The City Council reviewed the materials provided by the
City Staff for use in their discussions. The materials con-
sisted of two maps, one showing the existing city limits,
school district boundaries and existing zoning for the city
and the other map showed the existing city limits, school
district boundaries, and the proposed land use plan. Other
materials included a copy of the recent update of the Compre-
hensive Plan prepared by Frank Osgood Associates for planning
district 4, and excerpts from State Law on zoning and sub-
division controls.
The City Council's discussion covered the following topics:

situations existing today, and various types of

with the developers by the City and the final
site plan approval.
3. The various types of zoning, trying to take into
consideration zoning based on value, performance
i zoning and using those types of items to insure
• quality development.

cities such as Plano, Richardson, McKinney, etc.
5. The use of density and the need to establish the
densities for each existing planning district in
the City.
