ORDINANCE NO. 43
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY INTO THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That from and after the effective date
of this ordinance, the corporate limits of the City of
Allen, Texas, shall be amended so as to include the
following described property, to -wit:
FIRST TRACT:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, a part of the
William Perrin Survey, Abstract No. 708, and a
part of the George W. Ford Survey, Abstract No.
328, and being 2.352 acres out of a part of
241.5 acre tract as described in a deed from
W. A. Giddings et ux, Hattie, to W. L. Wood et ax,
Dorothy, dated January 2, 1939, and recorded in
Volume 321, Page 165 of the Collin County Deed
Records, and the said 2.352 acres being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows:
BEGINNING at iron stake in the South line of a
10 acre tract conveyed to Robert E. Lowman by
Gentry Jones on January 11, 1964, and recorded
in Volume 629, Page 141 of the Collin County
Deed Records. Said stake bears South 87 degrees
39 minutes East, 687.1 feet from the Southwest
corner of the said Lowman 10 acre tract;
THENCE SOUTH 2 degrees 21 minutes West, a distance
of 178.7 feet to an iron stake;
THENCE SOUTH 87 degrees 39 minutes East, a distance
of 525.2 feet to an iron stake in the center line
of a public road. Said stake being in the east
line of the said 241.5 acre tract;
THENCE NORTH 30 degrees 42 minutes East with the
center line of the said road a distance of 203.0
feet to an iron stake;
THENCE NORTH 87 degrees 39 minutes West, a distance
of 621.4 feet to the place of beginning,
CONTAINING 2.352 acres of land.
SECOND TRACT:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas; a part of the
William Perrin Survey, Abstract No. 708, and being
3.015 acres out of a 241.5 acre tract as described
in a deed from W. A. Giddings et ux, Hattie, to
W. L. Wood et ux, Dorothy, dated January 2, 1939, and
recorded in Volume 321, Page 165 of the Collin
County Deed Records, and the said 3.015 acres being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows:
BEGINNING at an iron stake in the East R.O.W. line
of S. H. 5. Said stake being in the Southwest corner
of a 10.0 acre tract conveyed to Robert E. Lowman
by Gentry T. Jones on January 11, 1964, and recorded
in Volume 629, Page 141 of the Collin County Deed
Records;
THENCE SOUTH 30 degrees 39 minutes West with the
East R.O.W. line of the said Highway a distance of
203.0 feet to an iron stake;
THENCE SOUTH 87 degrees 39 minutes East, a distance
of 782.9 feet to an iron stake;
THENCE NORTH 02 degrees 21 minutes East, a distance
of 178.7 feet to an iron stake in the South line of
the said Robert E. Lowman 10.0 acre tract;
THENCE NORTH 87 degrees 39 minutes West, with the
South line of 10 acre tract a distance of 687.1
feet to the place of beginning,
CONTAINING 3.015 acres of land.
SECTION 2: That from and after the passage of this
ordinance, said territory shall be a part of the City of
Allen, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled
to all of the rights, privileges and immunities of all
other citizens of the City of Allen, Texas, and shall be
bound by all of the ordinances and regulations enacted
pursuant to and in conformity with the general laws of
the State of Texas.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval, and it is so ordained.
Passed and approved by the City Council of Allen,

ANNEXATION PETITION
TO THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS
The undersigned, being a duly appointed officer of
the First Methodist Church in Allen, Texas, does hereby
certify that,
The First Methodist Church in Allen, Texas, has voted
and does hereby vote in favor of becoming a part of the
City of Allen, Texas, and the church hereby certifies
the same to the Mayor of the City of Allen, Texas, and
Said church hereby petitions the City of Allen,
Texas, to receive the hereinafter described territory
adjoining the City of Allen, Texas, as a part thereof
and to take any and all actions necessary to carry effect
its vote for the hereinafter described territory to be
annexed to and form a part of the City of Allen, Texas.
Said territory is described as follows:
FIRST TRACT:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, a part of the
William Perrin Survey, Abstract No. 708, and a part
of the George W. Ford Survey, Abstract No. 328 and
being 2.352 acres out of a part of 241.5 acre tract

the place of beginning,
